Is it really free to list?
Yes — completely free. No listing fees, no monthly subscriptions, no setup costs. You only pay the 15% final sale fee when an item actually sells.
How does the 15% fee work exactly?
The 15% fee is calculated on the item price only — not on shipping costs or sales tax. You keep $85 in cash, plus earn Star Points on your sale, redeemable once you reach $200 in total sales.
When and how do I get paid?
Payouts are sent weekly directly to your connected bank account or PayPal. Once a buyer confirms delivery, your earnings are cleared and queued for the next weekly transfer.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
The INFORM Consumers Act requires online marketplaces to verify the identity of high-volume sellers (200+ transactions or $5,000+ in annual sales). We collect your legal name, last 4 of SSN, and a government-issued photo ID. Your information is encrypted and never shared with buyers.
What shipping options do I have?
Shoppe Star is integrated with Shippo, giving you discounted rates from USPS, UPS, and FedEx. You can offer calculated rates, a flat rate, or free shipping.
When can I redeem my Star Points?
Points unlock for redemption once you've made $200 or more in total sales. Redeem anytime for eGift cards, PayPal, charity, or bank transfers. No expiry, no minimum per redemption.
Can I sell new and pre-owned items?
Yes — both new and pre-owned. The listing form supports new with tags, new without tags, like new, good, and fair condition.
